04/11/09 Hutchinson Builders proudly hosts Safe work Australia Week Breakfast
On Friday 30 October leaders from the construction industry joined together with government officials and construction industry workers at the Hutchinson Builders Victoria Towers site Southport for a breakfast hosted by Hutchinson Builders.
The breakfast was presented as part of Safe Work Australia Week. We had no hesitation whatsoever in hosting this important construction industry event, said Greg Quinn Managing Director, Hutchinson Builders.
Hutchinson Builders is committed to maintaining extremely high standards in workplace health and safety and this is especially important in terms of our young employees where, as a company we have established industry benchmarks in training young apprentices and cadets, he added.
This breakfast was designed to broadly promote workplace health and safety issues but particularly focussed on young people in the industry.
As Queensland’s largest privately-owned construction company, Hutchinson Builders has built a reputation with its foundations founded upon traditional family values that include integrity, duty of care, mentoring and learning.
Apart from the ‘be safe at work’ training that forms an integral part of on-the-job training and mentoring at Hutchinson Builders, the company provides their 180 apprentices with defensive driver training, tips on nutrition, how to manage money and the importance of maintaining personal values such as honesty and integrity.
