2009 - The year that was

A long held tradition at Hutchinson Builders is the two week Christmas-New Year shutdown heralded each year with a big get together.  This year the ‘Hutchies Yard’ at Toowong was the scene of celebration … celebrating the festive season, the year that was and the year ahead.

The get together is a time for site based staff to meet with other site staff and admin people from the office.  It’s a time to talk about matters of family, plans for the festive season and all things ‘non-work’.  It’s a time to look forward to those things that the following year might bring.

The get together is about celebrating the Hutchies culture and a time to acknowledge the effort of all team members.

Each year the prestigious Constructor of the Year award is announced by Jack and Scott Hutchinson.  The award is a peer voted award and recognises the individual that has made a significant contribution to the objectives of the company.

This year the winner was Ben Young and everyone at Hutchies congratulates you on the win Ben…well done!

Employees that have passed the five year mark with the company are also recognised and thanked for their contribution.

Hutchinson Builders wishes all our staff, subcontractors, clients, strategic partners, suppliers and service providers (and all of their families) a safe and happy holiday season and a prosperous and rewarding 2010.
