The average tenure of our staff is something unequalled anywhere else in the industry. On average, our people stay with us 16 years or more. This speaks volumes about the type of organisation we are – and the work that we do.

Our flat management structure is also typical of our culture: inclusive and accessible. Each of our 25+ Team Leaders reports directly to our Managing Director, keeping our business personal, accountable and responsive. Our people are empowered to solve problems and make decisions, but our open door policy assures that anyone is just a phone call away from the Managing Director or Chairman, should the need arise.

Hutchies was born as a family business. We've kept some of the heart of those humble beginnings, and we remain - arguably - Australia's last remaining hands-on builder. Hutchies’ clients get the best of both worlds: the grunt and dependability of the big guys, with a responsive, hands-on and consistent approach to delivery.
