About the role

Hutchies is currently seeking a highly motivated and organised Procurement Manager to join our team based in Toowong.

About the team

Reporting to the Construction Services Manager the primary objective of this role is to improve the sustainability of the business by building closer relationships with our supply partners that provide industry leading service, quality and cost outcomes for Hutchies and our Clients.

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of the procurement plan to drive efficiencies and cost savings across the business
  • Establish and maintain a preferred suppliers group
  • Oversee suppliers’ performance
  • Collaborate with our construction teams to ensure their procurement outcomes meet expectations.
  • Actively build and nurture relationships with Suppliers
  • Continuous improvement programs both internally and externally as they relate to efficient and effective procurement best practice

Applicants will have

  • Up to 5 years in similar role, previous experience in purchasing, procurement or analytics
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of contract and engagement models
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously and within in team environment, self-motivated and well organised
  • Full-time availability and full working rights in Australia
