Hutchies is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Contract Administrator to join our hard working team based in our Toowong office on a full time permanent basis.

This role will work with the Hutchies Fitout team, which is our dedicated self performing ceilings and partitions division.

Are you passionate about construction and eager to gain hands-on experience? We have an exciting opportunity for someone studying Construction Management or a related field.

As part of the Hutchies Fitout team, you will have the chance to grow both vertically and laterally. Plus, there’s the potential to join other full construction projects under the team’s management.

#Responsibilities

As a Junior Contract Administrator your responsibilities will include supporting existing project management and contract administration roles within Hutchies Fitout and:

  • Maintain office / site communication channels
  • Maintain Hutchies Fitout / Project Team communication channels
  • Document control and distribution
  • Monitor site status for cost analysis, reporting and forecasting
  • Monitor material procurement status for cost analysis, reporting and forecasting
  • Prepare and submit internal progress claims
  • Maintain project tracking in relation to scope, variation pricing requests, design changes, and more
  • Liaise with material suppliers in relation to pricing requests and procurement
  • Invoice coding and approvals
  • Meeting minutes and time keeping duties
  • Timesheet approval for submission to Payroll

#Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Completed or completing tertiary qualifications in the respective field for this role (construction management, engineering or similar)
  • 1-2 years’ experience in construction
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of market conditions, construction techniques, and industry standards
  • Ability to work in a team environment and have initiative when working independently.
  • Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders
  • A down to earth, fun, friendly and professional approach to your work
