Hutchies’ Murwillumbah High School Refurbishment has won the Public School $35 Million – $50 Million award at the Master Builders NSW Awards.

Led by Murray Emmerson, the project team delivered the $44.6 million refurbishment for School Infrastructure NSW in northern NSW. The project upgraded multiple buildings, learning spaces and external areas across the campus.

The team delivered the project under a fast-tracked D&C contract. They also retained existing infrastructure where possible, including reconnecting solar systems to reduce waste and support long-term operation.

The project’s impact went beyond the buildings. The Statim Yaga Trade Pathways program gave students hands-on exposure to construction trades and career pathways.

The award is a great result for Team Murray Emmerson and everyone involved in the project. More importantly, it celebrates a project built around supporting students, schools and communities in regional NSW.

Congratulations to Team Murray Emmerson, our company members, subcontractors, consultants and client on this achievement.
