Hutchies was proud to present the School-based Apprentice or Trainee Award at the 2025 Queensland Training Awards (QTA), held on Saturday 13 September at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year Award recognises a student’s outstanding commitment to both formal studies at school and practical learning in the workplace – celebrating those who are building their skills and shaping Queensland’s future workforce. This year, Hutchies’ own Sean Cummiskey presented the award to Hamish Grenrich.

Hamish is combining his studies at Downlands College with a Certificate III in Agriculture through Rural Training Australia, gaining hands-on experience on his family farm, AC Genrich. His commitment to sustainable agriculture and leadership in the field is inspiring, and we look forward to seeing his continued impact on the industry.
Hutchies has a long and proud history working with Downlands College, having built their original Toowoomba campus in 1943 and most recently their new junior campus in 2024.
We’re passionate about supporting the next generation of skilled professionals and celebrating those who are shaping Queensland’s future workforce.
