Hutchies Cranes + Hoists has welcomed a new Moritsch crane to our fleet. It’s already straight to work and feels right at home.
The crane is installed at our halō project in South Brisbane under construction for our client Kiō on their 10 Cordelia Street build-to-rent development.

A lot of love, sweat and tears went into making this a reality. Thanks to the skill, capability and appreciation of our Hutchies Cranes + Hoists division and several critical partners for the right equipment to achieve the best outcomes.
Moritsch is a family-founded company from Italy. The Moritsch family has specialised in tower cranes since 1962. Their cranes are known for strong performance in dense, urban environments. Perfect for tight inner-city projects like halō.
Like Hutchies, Moritsch has deep roots in construction. Ferruccio Moritsch was a pioneer and innovator – originally founding Comedil and Recom which are still workhorses of Terex cranes today. That shared history makes the partnership a natural fit.
Both businesses remain family-owned and operated. Both have been around for generations. And both take a long-term view.
MoritschCranes"It’s a great honour to serve companies like Hutchinson in Australia, where we recently erected our RTL 325A20."
Family businesses think sustainably. They back their people and invest in good equipment. With the critical nature of tower cranes, this is even more important.
And the best part? Install day.
A capable addition to the fleet
The newly erected Moritsch RTL 325A20 adds strong lifting capability across our projects. It operates on both single and double fall and can lift up to 20 tonnes.
This flexibility supports complex lifts in tight conditions, where space and access are limited.

Powered by new battery technology
We’re also trialling new eGen battery technology with this crane in partnership with our friends at JP Energy.
This P300 energy storage system (ESS) reduces reliance on traditional power sources. It supports quieter operation and lower emissions, which is important on metropolitan projects.
As cities become denser, temporary site power becomes limited. This technology reduces demand on utilities and minimises disruption to surrounding communities. It also supports safer, more efficient work in constrained locations.

A complex lift in a tight city environment
Getting the crane into position was a project in itself.
The day brought together a wide group of specialists. Traffic controllers managed road closures and pedestrian movements. Delivery crews meticulously coordinated timing down to the minute. The project team worked closely with operators to keep everything safe and controlled.
Seeing it all come together was impressive. It showed what’s required to build in busy metropolitan areas, where planning and teamwork matter just as much as the equipment.

Built on collaboration
Moments like this highlight what we value most.
Strong relationships. Skilled people. Trusted partners. When everyone takes pride in their work, understands the plan and their role, complexity runs smoothly.
We’re proud to work with like‑minded, family‑owned partners and to keep investing in equipment that supports safer, smarter construction.
