Work has officially started on a major new facility at The Wesley Hospital Precinct.

The quarter‑of‑a‑billion‑dollar development marks an important step forward for the precinct and for healthcare delivery in Queensland.

The facility will support:

  • six additional operating theatres
  • expanded and upgraded radiation oncology services
  • state of the art imaging
  • dedicated clinician suites
  • room for The Wesley Hospital to grow its specialist services

The Wesley Precinct already delivers acute, tertiary level medical and surgical care through more than 1,200 visiting medical practitioners and health professionals. The expansion will strengthen capacity in key specialist areas and help deliver safe, high quality care for the community.

#Sod turn event marks the official start

Key stakeholders and project partners gathered for the sod turn event, which marked the official start of construction. The event highlighted the scale of UnitingCare Queensland’s investment and signalled the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the precinct.

Hutchies is proud to be delivering this landmark project alongside UnitingCare Queensland and strategic delivery partner Fluent.
