Hutchies has started construction on Shellharbour’s new marine tourism precinct.

The project marks an important milestone for the Shellharbour waterfront. It will create a new destination for the community and visitors while supporting long‑term tourism growth in the Illawarra region.

Hutchies is delivering a precinct that will bring new life to the harbour. The development will introduce a waterfront hospitality venue, new public spaces, and improved connections along the foreshore. These spaces will encourage people to spend more time at the water’s edge and strengthen links between the harbour and the wider community.

The project forms part of Shellharbour’s broader vision for its foreshore. Once complete, the precinct will support local businesses, attract visitors year‑round, and provide new places for people to gather, relax, and enjoy the harbour.

Representatives from government, council, and the project team came together on site to mark the official start of construction. The milestone reflects strong collaboration between the client, stakeholders, and the Hutchies project team.

Hutchies is proud to be delivering this project and contributing to the next stage of Shellharbour’s waterfront.
