Hutchies is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Building Services & QA Support Officer to join our hard-working team based in Toowoomba on a full-time permanent basis.
Hutchies has been operating in Toowoomba for more than 80 years. In 1997, we setup a permanent office here and are proud to have built many of our local landmarks and award-winning projects.
#Responsibilities
As a Building Services & QA Support Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Assist internal and external users on the Hutchies online quality management system (Procore), including uploading and creating ITP’s, adding users, adding photos, reviewing drawings, creating reports, document control, etc
 - Assist the Services Manager with planning and formatting of project specific services commissioning plans in conjunction with the Project Teams.
 - Prepare, implement, monitor, and update project specific Quality Management Plans
 - Research, prepare and submit Façade Submissions to the Hutchies corporate Quality Management Team
 - Assist the Services Manager during project tenders by reviewing services drawings and specifications to ensure sub-contractor project pricing accurately reflects the required scope of works
 - Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers, sub-contractors, project delivery teams to continually improve our quality deliverables & outcomes on Hutchies projects
 - Assist in conducting site inspections and logging defects for quality assurance
 - Researching and growing your understanding of Australian Standards, National Construction Codes, Aus Health Guidelines etc will be part of the role development
 
This role reports directly to the Services Manager and the Quality Manager and will be predominantly based in the office with some travel to local sites as required. This role would be suited to someone with strong administrative skills and previous experience in the construction industry.
#Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role in the construction industry
 - Ability to read and interpret drawings or the capability to learn this skill
 - Experience using construction platforms like Procore & Aconex or the ability to adapt and learn new computer programs
 - Pofessional written and verbal communication skills
 - Strong attention to detail
 - Ability to work in a team environment and have initiative when working independently
 - Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and prioritise accordingly
 - Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders
 - A down to earth, friendly and professional approach to your work
 - Previous services trade experience would be highly regarded
