Hutchies is seeking an experienced Services Manager with an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/Trade background to join our Coolangatta team on a full-time, permanent basis.
With a strong pipeline of Gold Coast projects, this role requires a minimum of 5 years’ multidisciplinary construction services experience. You will support project delivery by working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure services are well-coordinated, compliant, and delivered efficiently.
This is a predominantly Gold Coast - based role, offering the opportunity to work close to home on a diverse range of projects.

#Responsibilities
As a Services Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver construction services support across electrical, mechanical, and related building services
- Coordinate services design, installation, commissioning, and handover activities
- Review drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
- Liaise with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and consultants
- Manage inspections, testing, commissioning, and defect rectification
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, safety, quality, and program requirements
- Provide practical, buildable solutions to site based services challenges
#Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree, or Electrical/Mechanical (HVAC) trade background, with extensive relevant experience in Australian construction environments.
- Minimum 5 years’ multidisciplinary construction services experience
- Strong site-based construction background
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and building services systems
- Proven ability to coordinate design, installation, commissioning, and handover
- Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and methodologies
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high performing team
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and problem solving skills
- Ability to build relationships and work both independently and collaboratively
- Professional, approachable, and team-oriented attitude
- Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 builders (desirable)
- Design & Construct project exposure (desirable)
- Commissioning and services handover experience (desirable)
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards (Engineers Australia) (desirable)
