As Hutchies continues to grow its Sydney business, we're looking for a commercially minded Contract Administrator to join the team and help shape the delivery of upcoming work across Sydney.
You'll be a key part of the project team, working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, clients and subcontractors to drive commercial outcomes and keep projects moving.
From procurement and subcontractor engagement through to variations, forecasting and contract administration, you'll be trusted with real responsibility and given the opportunity to influence project performance from the outset.

#Responsibilities
As a Contract Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation, negotiation and administration of Head Contracts, Subcontracts, Supply Agreements and Purchase Orders
- Managing procurement processes, including tendering, trade break‑ups, scope reviews and subcontractor engagement
- Managing complex variations, EOTs, claims and all contractual correspondence
- Monitoring project financial performance, including cost‑to‑complete, forecasting and margin protection
- Preparing and managing cash flow projections and monthly financial reports
- Leading progress claim preparation, submission and negotiation with the client
- Reviewing and approving subcontractor progress claims and invoices
- Ensuring contract compliance, document control and adherence to governance processes
- Identifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risks across the project lifecycle
- Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager and broader delivery team to support project delivery
- Attending site meetings and undertaking site visits as required
- Managing procurement, variation and EOT registers
- Coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships
- Assisting with defect management and project close‑out documentation
- Providing guidance and mentoring to Junior Contract Administrators and supporting their development
#Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in the respective field for this role
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of market conditions, construction techniques, and industry standards
- Ability to work in a team environment and have initiative when working independently
- Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders
- A down to earth, fun, friendly and professional approach to your work
