Hutchies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Manager to join our hard-working team based in our Brisbane office on a full-time permanent basis.

#Responsibilities
As a Design Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the design team from early DA concept / Tender to handover of the project
- Coordinating with internal and external design teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality documentation
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, Hutchies standards and client expectations
- Planning and programming the design process to keep all stakeholders aligned and on track
- Driving consultants to complete detailed design and documentation within project timeframes
- Challenging design solutions with curiosity and flexibility to find efficiencies and improvements
- Recommending cost-effective construction strategies and integrating them into the design
- Ensuring contractual obligations are met throughout the design process
- Co-Managing client relationships with integrity and professionalism to influence positive outcomes
#Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience managing design projects for vertical construction, including multi-storey commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments
- Strong knowledge of construction-specific legislation and Codes of Practice
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and have initiative when working independently
- Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders
- A down-to-earth, fun, friendly, and professional approach to your work
- Ability to review early concept / tender documentation and provide value management, general compliance and buildability input to the project team
- Able to work with the construction team before and during construction
