Hutchies are seeking experienced and motivated Site Managers to join our hardworking Southport team, working on our regional projects commencing from mid-September through to early January. These projects also include a modular construction component, which will be fabricated at our Newcastle Yard.

We’re open to considering younger or early-career Site Managers who are eager to grow and take on new challenges. Candidates working remotely or away from home will receive appropriate allowances to support travel and accommodation.

#Responsibilities

As a Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordination of trades, materials, and suppliers in accordance with the plans, specifications, finishes and construction program
  • Monitoring and managing labour on site and maintain schedule
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies, designers, and clients
  • Management of all aspects of Work, Health and Safety
  • Manage the activities of site staff, sub-contractors, and trades suppliers
  • Proactively facilitate consultation with all project stakeholders

#Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Relevant trade qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role in the construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of construction specific legislation and Codes of Practice
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and have initiative when working independently
  • Strong relationship building with all relevant stakeholders
  • A down to earth, fun, friendly and professional approach to your work
