Hutchies partnered with Ipswich City Council to deliver this world-class digitally integrated mixed use precinct in the heart of Ipswich’s CBD.

The project is home to a new purpose designed and built Council office building and chambers with an integrated environmentally rated fitout of 5 Star Green Star and 5 Star NABERS. Surrounding this building is a new thriving city heart for the community with a cultural precinct that includes a new state-of-the-art public library, retail tenancies, water play areas, a piazza and extensive underground carparking.

Hutchies has been involved in this precinct for almost a decade after building the $74M ICON Tower A development in 2011 for Leighton Properties. ICON was the first Green Star rated building in Ipswich and is home to several state and local government tenants. This has been a long term vision for Ipswich City Council to provide opportunity for community interaction, private economic growth and a resilient framework for future significant projects in the area.

Over the past 20 years, we have constructed 61 projects across Ipswich and employed and trained hundreds of locals at one stage, just under 10 per cent of our 1700 strong workforce came from Ipswich.

This redevelopment will create a modern and vibrant CBD for the people of Ipswich and visitors to eat, shop and enjoy world-class amenities with family and friends. At the same time, the precinct will boost the Ipswich economy and bring new jobs to our city.
