#Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a Hutchies vendor?

A business or organisation that supplies goods or services to Hutchies is what we call a vendor. This means we may engage you to supply us things or undertake work for us.

What are Hutchies’ new digital tools?

Building on our vendor registration tool, we’re introducing digital purchase orders (POs), works orders (WOs), subcontracts and agreements, along with a new portal for our vendors to login to (called Hutchies' Vendor Portal).

What contracts / agreements are included?

  • Minor Works (under $500K)
  • AS4901 & AS4903 (over $500K)
  • Consultant Agreements (shortform under $50K, longform over $50K)
  • Supply Agreements (goods only, no labour)

Already in a contract with Hutchies?

No worries—existing contracts remain valid. These new tools apply to new projects from 1 August 2025.

How do I invoice Hutchies?

You’ll need a valid PO, WO or signed contract.

Your invoice must:

  • Be addressed to J Hutchinson Pty Ltd T/A Hutchinson Builders
  • Clearly state ‘Invoice’
  • Include a valid Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • Reference a valid Purchase Order (PO), Works Order (WO) or contract / agreement number from Hutchies
  • State Goods & Services Tax (GST) if applicable
  • If GST applies, the document must state ‘Tax Invoice’

Send your invoice to the official email listed on the order / contract.

How does Hutchies pay?

We process invoices mid-month and end of month. If it’s been more than 30 days, check your email or contact us.

Do I need to sign a contract or agreement?

Yes. Contracts and agreements will be sent via Docusign for digital signature. If you haven’t received one, follow up with your Hutchies contact.

Are these new tools secure?

Yes. All digital contracts are securely managed by J Hutchinson Pty Ltd and issued using Docusign.

How do I verify an email from Hutchies or Docusign is legitimate?

If you have any concerns, please contact Hutchies’ Accounts Payable team who can verify the order for you.

What is Hutchies' Vendor Portal?

Hutchies’ secure Vendor Portal makes it easier to manage your contracts and agreements with us. You can view, negotiate, sign, and track contracts—all in one place.
